Universal Expands Presence in Europe with Dedicated Fuel Team
Geneva (May 20, 2008) – UVair® announced that it has continued to add fuel specialists dedicated to servicing the fuel requests of Europe-based operators and now has an entire dedicated team of fuel experts to reside in and cover the European business aviation fuel market. The team began with Steve Woods, the UVair® Fuel Manager for the European region, who was joined last year by Yeet Jones, UVair® Fuel Consultant, dedicated to the European market.
Most recently, Craig Scolding joined the team as the UVair® Fuel Coordinator for the region. Scolding is responsible for providing operational support and assistance with such items as fuel setups and more. He brings eight years of experience in the aviation business, including ground support and aircraft operations.
"The European business aviation market continues to grow at an amazing rate," said Greg Cox, Vice President of UVair®, the fuel division of Universal®. "Our goal is to be easily accessible to our clients, and even in today's 'virtual' world, there is nothing that replaces physical proximity and face-to-face connection."
Under Woods' leadership, the team's role is to coordinate the sales efforts throughout the region and provide even more dedicated, personalized fuel service to the European customer base. With the new addition to the team, Europe-based operators will receive more timely responsiveness to their UVair® needs from representatives based in their home region.
Woods and Scolding are based in Stansted, England. Jones is based in Nice, France.
The UVair® Fueling Card is accepted in more than 2,000 locations worldwide. It provides clients with opportunities for savings due to volume buying power; it can be used for ground services along with fuel; and it is backed by a customer support team that provides 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week support.
